1st Grade Material?

Miles starts 1st grade on Tuesday! His school had an open house on Friday and we learned that there are a couple hundred more kids this year than last year (~ 900 total students likely due to an influx of private school folks transitioning over) and Miles' 1st grade classroom is in the old art room. He'll have about 28 kids in his class. Wowza. Of that group, there will only be one student from his class last year. Our neighbor, Will, will also be in the class and Miles is really excited to have another familiar face in his new room.

After the open house, Miles was in a really silly mood. After Griffin went to bed, he asked Mike to get his guitars out. He went wild "playing" them. I swear, I didn't prompt any of these facial expressions. Guess maybe he was paying attention while the "top 10 heavy metal video countdown" was on tv while we were cooking dinner? :)






Would be fun if our guys started up a garage band someday. Of course, I say that now.....


I have some funny video footage of Miles and Noah playing too, but I need some time to learn the video editing functionality of my Mac. Maybe once the boys are back in school I can learn it and then post a summer video blog....
