Woke up fever-free, back to his old self, left with only a dry cough and a tiny bit of congestion. From a fever perspective, he'd be ok to go to school tomorrow; but we're going to let him sleep in, see if he's still coughing, and decide then.

Woke up fever-free, back to his old self. Its amazing what heavy-duty antibiotic shots can do, isn't it? Tomorrow morning he'll be 24 hours fever-free, so he should be fine to go to school. Amazing how quickly he bounced back.

Ugh. I'm totally feeling my age -- assuming that it must be the reason that I am still bed-ridden. :) I woke up this morning without a fever, still feeling awful, but assuming that I was on the road to recovery. I took a shower/changed my clothes for the first time in days (I know, gross...but its the reality of how I've been feeling). Not so fast, the fever is back, my cough/sore throat is horrid, and my headache will not subside. And, most of all, still heartbroken that I just closed my second day of not being able to hug, kiss, or play with the boys. That part is awful. Praying that tomorrow will be a better day.

Still healthy and a total rockstar husband and dad. He managed 3 rambunctious boys at home AND a sick wife AND worked AND bought a new toilet/had it installed, because ours started seriously leaking last night. Seriously, this guy deserves a metal.
That's today's update. Hopefully tomorrow's includes pictures -- meaning I'm totally back to my old self. :)

Back to his old self, with a fever. He'll be out of school all week, regardless of his symptoms, just to be safe. He's the only one of the boys that was diagnosed with the flu, so I want to be extra cautious with him -- but the good news is that he's not feeling horrible. The Tamiflu and motrin must be working!

so glad you're updating. been thinking about y'all all day. yes, mike is a rock star for sure. sorry you're still feeling yucky. try to get some sleep and hopefully tomorrow will be a hug day for the boys.
Way to go Mike! It's amazing what husbands can do in "crisis" mode:) So glad that everyone is trending in the right direction...I'm sure you will be fever free tomorrow and back to cuddling with the boys in no time. Aston will miss Griff this week!
