Messy Marvin

Griffin is our big eater. Most nights he eats more than Miles & Noah combined. He is also an adventurous eater (at 5 & 3, the other boys still have yet to try ketchup). He loves sauces and wants to dip everything.

Tonight, while I spent 20 seconds getting the boys' their drinks for dinner, Griffin poured the ENTIRE container of cheese onto his plate and proceeded to do-a-little-dipping.

While I ran to get the vacuum (and my camera), Griffin found Miles' leftover lunch and began dipping corn bran into the cheese. If he can dip it, he loves it!

(While I was running around cleaning up after Griffin, Noah "hid" his entire dinner in his glass of milk (chicken & broccoli & noodles). He then looked at me oh-so-innocently and said, "Mommy? Can I have dessert tonight?" Nice try, my friend. Nice try.)

Muddy Buddies

Its hard to believe that just a week ago it was much warmer and very, very rainy. In between rain showers, Noah, Griffin and I headed outside to stretch our legs and stomp in some puddles.

Miles missed the playtime, but he looked oh-so-cute when he hopped off the bus with his fireman boots on!

With Clumsy Comes the Fairy

Our Noah is many things...funny, silly, sweet and loving. Another thing he is for sure is CLUMSY. Noah is the kid that is sitting in his chair one second and randomly on the floor the next. He's the kid that has mastered the hat-trick: smacking his chin on the table AND the chair AND the floor as he falls. He falls from sitting, walking, running...you name it, it takes him down.

After a couple of falls this week, he finally has a semi-permanent repercussion: today (at age 3.5) he lost his first tooth. The dentist took x-rays today (before it popped out) and said that his front two top teeth have very small roots (likely from multiple traumas), and we should expect both to fall out soon. The adult teeth won't come in any sooner...so I'm thankful that he doesn't need to eat his favorite meal of cereal from a cob.

Last night I tried to get a picture of his very wiggly, jacked-up tooth.

Mom, thanks for hooking Noah up with his tooth-holder!! He was SO excited to use it!

Happy New Year!

This year's New Year's celebration was kid-friendly and in the hood. Mason and Shannon came to Charlotte and we all walked over to our neighbor's house for some pizza, playtime, and champagne (our toast took place around 7:15pm). We love living in a neighborhood with so many great families -- and look forward to celebrating here for many years to come.

Classic kid activity....RACING!

Mike spent most of the evening in the middle of the kiddo's. Anyone who got too close got a tickle...

One of our hosts - Davin. Isn't he a cutie? He and Noah will start kindergarten together in a couple of years.

We love the Bass family! Here are Evan & Sydey and their visiting grandparents, Claire & Don.

Miles and Mason (and all of the kids) LOVED their home-made noisemakers. Thanks for the idea, mom!

More Summerville Fun!

Old school fun....Griff playing with the same bus Dana, Lindsey & I did.
Love it!

Enjoying Gram & Pop's hammock on a 70-degree December day. Ahhh.....

Playing with Gram & Pop's bath toys is always super fun. I gave the boys some shower caps and they started wearing them over their eyes/nose too. Quite clever and very entertaining!

Missing that warm weather (and Gram & Pop) already!

Joyful in Summerville

We had a GREAT trip to Summerville!

It was great fun to have ANOTHER Christmas! :)

My dad wrapped Griffin's present in an amazing box this year. He painted it gold, wrapped the inside with fun paper, and glued tons of pictures on the outside. It was a huge hit!

Another HUGE hit? Mike's Wii. It was non-stop entertainment. We bowled, boxed, played tennis, golf, baseball...cross generational fun. Jason and Mike got sucked into a tank game. They played for 4 hours straight one night. Its safe to say that Mike's glad he brought the Wii!

The weather was AMAZING in SC! We played outside, hung out at the neighborhood playground and enjoyed meals and fun on the screened in porch. A white Christmas is beautiful....but the sunny Christmas was definitely a treat! We loved every minute of it. Thanks, mom & dad!
