The kids went to VBS at Sharon Pres this summer and had a great time. I think it was the last year Miles will go (I think a lot of the kids in the older class felt "too old") but they did have lots of fun. I was at VBS two of the days to take photos for a slideshow at the end of the week. Here are some of the shots of the boys during those days.
Griffin and his BF friend from preschool last year, Luke.
Miles and Reid trying to up their cool factor with the bandanas.
Noah and Reid's brother, Drew.
Noah and Paxson - TK friends. They are in a first grade class together this year. Love!
Griffin, Luke and Reid. Reid and Griffin will be in TK together this year.
The church and SO MANY VOLUNTEERS did an incredible job. It was much fun for the kids and they learned so many great messages. They still sing the VBS songs around the house. Anything is possible with God!
Lindsey and Adelaide came to visit for a few days this summer on the tail end of another trip of theirs. Miles LOVES nurturing and taking care/playing with Adelaide (all the boys do actually, its just so sweet to see Miles' extra loves with her).
The night before Griffin turned 5, he said, "mommy, how old do I have to be to fall in love?" sooooo sweet! Noah quickly told him that he can be "any age." Love my guys.
Gram and Pop came to visit and took us all to Carowinds. Such a fun day!! Will say that none of our guys are adventurous on the rides (they stick to the kiddie section and are intimidated by the roller coasters in the bigger areas). Will be much fun when they are ready for larger thrill rides (though I will surely panic when/if I need to join them on them!)
Miles went to two soccer camps this summer. One with Charlotte Sports Academy and one with the Charlotte Eagles. He loved them both. And, I was extra proud of him for going to both without a buddy (he had a friend lined up, but his friend ended up having medical issues this summer and had to cancel all of his summer camp plans....such a bummer for his sweet friend). Here are a few shots from his final game day at CSA camp.
Being silly or just whipped or both?
Noah brought his camera to take photos during the came. So cute!
Miles won an award as the top 9-year-old at the camp based on a technical skills challenge. I was so excited for him!
Eagles Camp was incredible. I had no idea the Eagles were a Christian organization. They prayed with the kids each day and you could tell the counselors really wanted to be there. They really engaged with the kids and Miles had so.much.fun. Excited about this camp for next year!
Miles LOVES playing goalie. He had 4 incredible saves quickly-in-a-row during this game and caught the attention of the HS counselors from another Y camp behind him. They started yelling, "that goalie is on FIRE!" It was awesome.
Miles also went to the Whitewater Center for camp with a bunch of friends and LOVED it. See my photos below of their amazing time (I wish....didn't take any....) :)
