London

What an amazing 9-year-anniversary trip!  The destinations (London, Dublin, Oban), the company (Beth and Scott Haenni), the weather (not one drop of rain!), the reassurance of knowing that the boys were having a great time at home with my mom/parents (depending on the day) -- it was all amazing.

We started our trip in London.  We stayed at this hotel (Beth and Scott stayed close by, just on the other side of the square).  Our highlights in London were our behind-the-scenes tour of Kensington Palace, including a viewing of some of Princess Diana's dresses (courtesy of Beth's relative's connection to the director of the museum), our dinner at Boho Mexico, our trip to Camden Market, hanging out in Trafalgar Square (including watching a little of this exhibit), and our ride on a double-decker bus.  Other memorable events, but more from a comical perspective than anything else, included our dinner at Nobu (it was ridiculous on many levels), and our ride on the London Eye (very cool views, but we quickly dubbed it the saun-eye, as the sun baked in the glass panels on our 30-minute ride).
