Its a huge change to get a shot like this and have my camera not be practically touching the person's face.

And these, seriously, I was so far away!

And this one cracks me. The capture of Noah's expression is emotionally perfect to me. And, yes, Miles is in his pjs. He stayed home sick from school and by 6:30pm he had still not changed, but felt well enough to go outside and get some vitamin D.

I do like the look of the pictures, especially for my first time using the lens, but its hard to tell if its a huge difference from the 50mm (other than I need to be farther away). Anyone else have both? Like one over the other? (I'll definitely have it for another week, so if you have a Nikon and have been wondering whether or not to try one out, you can try mine. :)

interesting. great crisp eye in the first one of mike. i don't know? great pics though. bring the lens tuesday!!!! wanna try it.
hmmm...they are really beautiful shots...so tack sharp:) no experience to share. are you standing over giff on the sepia one of him? that's not too far away right? have no frame of reference...but they are really pretty shots...
Hmmm...curious how far away, specifically? Will look forward to talking more on Tuesday (lowest aperature? Because its fixed, right?) I'll bring my lenses so that you can see what I have and what that does/doesn't do. And of course I am always curious to know what Stephanie shoots with...am still in love with her work.
definitely a lens i've had on my amazon wishlist for while. did you get it at biggs and they let you try it out for 2 weeks? very cool. i've heard good things about this lens and you pictures are tack sharp. it's fun to have different options in your camera bag--definitely need to go back to luna for that super-cool bag to hold all of this stuff, right? it would be nice to switch lenses off-the-cuff. :)
