Mother's Day

I had the best Mother's Day this year. It was so relaxing (I didn't even pick up my camera!). We went to church and then had an impromptu visit from Trish, Ella, and Jack (while Mike and Jon were working out). They ended up staying all afternoon. Later in the day, Trish and I left the 5 kids with the guys while we ran on the outdoor track at the Y. After burning all those calories, my guys treated me to dinner at the Original House of Pancakes. Now what can be better than that?!

I love preschool art. I love thinking that Griffin might roll his eyes at this exact piece of artwork when he's a senior in HS. Its a keeper.

Noah made me this cute card. Love my eye lashes and earings. And, it cracks me up that my job is "driving." And the bee plate. He's been carrying it around... almost hugging it... he's so proud of it.

Miles was insanely excited to give me this "pinch pot." I love it. Love the color. Love the shape. Love the teeny-tiny size. I especially love that his little fingers made it. It made me cry.

This card, on the other hand, did not make me cry. It did make Mike laugh. Especially the part about Miles fast-tracking me to "40". Nice.

She is "40"
Her favorite song is "dinosaur music" (Mr Rob's "We are the dinosaurs")
Her favorite game is "candyland"
Her favorite tv show is "news" (anything not kid friendly is "news" to him)
I like it when she makes "cookies"
I don't like it when she makes "steak" (as if?!)
It makes me feel good when she "lets me sleep in her bed" (he likes to sneak in when Mike travels)
I know she loves me because "she hugs me"

He drew some of these favorite things on the bag used for the pinch pot. So sweet. Seriously.

Mike had this sweet necklace made for me. I love it. He also gave me a fun, silver ring from the same online store. He rocks.

My very sweet (and sometimes wild) godson Jack gave me this plant. Check out his amazing handiwork on the pot! This will still be with me during my walker/hairnet days. I love it.

On top of that, I feel blessed to have an amazing mother, a wonderful mother-in-law, and two incredible grandmothers. Mothers. What a blessing to have them. What a gift from God to be one.
